The 1st Grade classes are asking the school community to support their drive for the Animal Rescue League of Boston’s Dedham shelter. Its founder, Anna Harris Smith, was a Dorchester native and her home is still there at 65 Pleasant Street.
The Animal Rescue League has helped animals for 116 years by rescuing domesticated animals and wildlife who have been abused, abandoned or neglected. It is a non-profit organization that relies solely on the generosity of the general public.
We are collecting the following supplies for the Dedham branch:
Kindergarten cat food
1st Grade dog food
2nd Grade cat treats
3rd Grade dog treats
4th Grade small toys for cats or dogs
5th Grade sponges, Windex (spray cleaner) and Dawn (dish detergent)
