Today, National Mix It Up Day was celebrated in schools all across the country. Mix it Up Day is about breaking down barriers, connecting people with one another, and helping them see past their differences. Our 5th grade student council recognized this day by facilitating Mix It Up Lunch on October 26th. Representatives from the Student Council led all the grades in various conversations during lunch. All the children sat with someone new . The 5th grade reps mixed the students up with an activity when the students lined up to go in for lunch. Then the 5th grade reps facilitated conversations so the children could get to know one another. It was a great success and a nice way for kids to get to know someone new. Thank your to the 5th grade student council members for leading this activity!
