ASCA NEEDS VOLUNTEERS! In fact, the program literally cannot run without them.
Volunteering to be an ASCA monitor is a FUN AND EASY way to help the school. And as a bonus, all ASCA monitors receive ONE CLASS, TUITION-FREE!!!
WHAT DOES THE ROLE OF ASCA MONITOR ENTAIL? Monitors sign up for one shift, one day each week. During that shift, monitors help kindergartners find their classrooms, take attendance, and check that all children have been picked up once classes end. ASCA monitors work in pairs, so as a volunteer, you’ll never be on your own.
ARE ONLY PARENTS ELIGIBLE TO VOLUNTEER? Absolutely not! Nannies, grandparents, and other CORI-checked caregivers are also welcome.
INTERESTED IN VOLUNTEERING, BUT YOU’LL HAVE A CHILD WITH YOU ON THE DAY YOU’RE AVAILABLE? No problem–you may bring your little helper with you!
For more information or to volunteer, please e-mail Kirsten at firstname.lastname@example.org. As always, monitors receive priority registration. Also, positions are given on a first-come, first served basis, so sign up now!
