Project for International Rescue Committee

Memorial Spaulding artists are learning about the refugee experience and how peace, love and hope can help us all make the world a better place.  In art class, students will be making cards with artwork of positivity where all of the proceeds will go the International Rescue Committee. Cards will be sold at our art show on June 1st and the day after during drop-off. Remaining Cards will be sold at the School Concert and other school events (if there are any left!).

We are looking for volunteers to help make this a success! Sign up here to help Ms. E assemble the cards in packages on Thursday, May 25th from 7-9 at the home of Megan Tager, (wine and dessert will be provided!) or sell cards during drop off on June 2nd.

Thank you for your participation in making this effort become a meaningful opportunity for our students to make a difference in the world.

About the IRC

The IRC was founded by Albert Einstein over 80 years ago.  Today, the IRC responds to the world’s worst humanitarian crises and helps people whose lives and livelihoods are shattered by conflict and disaster to survive, recover, and gain control of their future.  Across Syria, the International Rescue Committee is the only international relief agency working on all fronts of the Syrian crisis, assisting those displaced inside Syria and those who have sought refuge in neighboring countries, Europe, and the U.S.  The IRC provides lifesaving support to over 1.3 million people—almost half of them children—who are struggling to survive a brutal war now in its seventh year.
