Dear Memorial-Spaulding Families,
A few quick items for this week:
The Memorial-Spaulding Gala is coming up on Saturday, May 11th at the Hilton in Dedham. This is a wonderful opportunity to connect with other parents and build our sense of community – in addition to the money going for a much needed cause. Click HERE for ticket information.
Our Lost and Found in the Main Hall has MANY items waiting to be found! Click HERE to take a look at some pics of our L & F and feel free to come retrieve your child’s items. If you have not done so, please consider writing your child’s name on clothing or other items your child brings to school. This will help us get things back to their rightful owner. In mid-May we will donate all unclaimed items to charity.
For those families who are new to Memorial-Spaulding, or parents of incoming kindergarteners: please join us on Thursday, May 16th @ 7pm in the school auditorium for an informational presentation about our school. Attendees will have the opportunity to ask questions and we will provide a tour of the building. If you are a M-S veteran parent and know of new families coming, please forward this invite to them.
The 2019 Parent Report/Survey will be closing on Friday. If you have not had a chance to do so, please check it out HERE.
Now that April vacation has passed, it is time to begin thinking about student classroom placement for the 2019-20 school year. To access a Parent Letter about the process, please click HERE, and click HERE to access the Parent Placement Form (due Friday, May 10th). Please note that it is not necessary for you to complete a Parent Placement Form.
Are you addicted to social media? Is your child? Click HERE for information about a presentation at Newton Wellesley Hospital entitled “A Mindful Approach to Managing Social Media”. This presentation may especially benefit those of you who have students in older grades.
