National Mix It Up Day will celebrated in schools all across the country on October 28th. Mix it Up Day is about breaking down barriers, connecting people with one another, and helping them see past their differences. With help from our 5th grade student council, our school will recognize this day by having Mix It Up Lunch on October 29th. Representatives from the 5th grade will lead the younger grades in various activities during lunch. All the children will sit with someone new at lunch. The 5th grade reps will mix the students up with an activity at the end of recess when the students line up to go in for lunch. Then the 5th grade reps will facilitate conversations so the children can get to know one another. It will be a great way for kids to get to know someone new. Thank you to the 5th grade student council members for leading this activity!
