International Night was a huge success. It was inspiring to not only see representation from a wide variety of countries, but to see kids actively engaging.
That being said, we made a careless error that I wanted to apologize for. When we copied the passports I did not realize that we had left off Israel and Central America. A final check of the information was ultimately my responsibility and that never happened.
I am proud of our school’s diversity and love that my children are exposed to so many cultures. I place a lot of value on unifying our cultures as one community. The omission of two our important community groups was a big mistake.
Thus, I am asking all families from Israel and Central America, as well as anyone who was offended by this mistake, to please accept my apology. The International Festival would not have been the same without you. The international Festival Planning committee has already set up a meeting to discuss how we can improve for next year to make sure it doesn’t happen again.
