Two students from Memorial Spaulding who are on Newton Destination Imagination (DI) teams have advanced to the global competition in Tennessee. The teams won first place in the regional competition on March 12 and advanced to the State competition that took place March 26 at WPI in Worcester. The teams placed second and qualified to compete globally in Tennessee on May 26. The Newton DI students are Matthew Miller-Licon, 3rd Grade and Denise Chan, 4th Grade. The teams are grateful for the atmosphere of knowledge and confidence promoted and prospered at Memorial-Spaulding.
