The Pan Mass Challenge (PMC) is an organization that holds charity bike rides in New England to raise money to find a cure for cancer through the Dana Farber Cancer Institute and Jimmy Fund. PMC Kids Rides began in 2005 with the idea of “kids helping kids”. The Kids Rides allow children between the ages of 2 and 12 to be physically active riding their bikes, enjoy the beautiful Spring and make a change in others’ lives. To be part of the ride, you will need to register ($20) and agree to raise a minimum of $25.
Sunday, May 15th at Belkin Lookout Farm in Natick, MA from 8:00 to 10:00 a.m.
If your child wants to be part of the ride, parents can follow these steps to register online:
1. Go to http: http://kids.pmc.org/natick/team/Memorial-Spaulding-Makes-A-Difference.htm
2. On the bottom right under “Want to join this team?” click REGISTER NOW!
3. Then click “Continue Registration” (A guardian will have to create an account for a child).
4. Once a child has registered, s/he will have a special ID # that is his or hers alone. The child’s name will be on our team page and when someone clicks on the name they will be redirected to that child’s own personal fundraising page. Parents can help set up and personalize the fundraising page. Having a fundraising page makes it easy for the sponsors to donate to a child’s ride on-line if they wish. You can also collect cash and check donations the old
fashioned way! The PMC kids website has lots of great fundraising ideas to get you started and information for parents about collecting and turning in donations that are not made on-line.
If you have any questions, just ask Ms. Komow!
RIDE HARD, RIDE SAFE AND HAVE FUN!
