Hi Memorial-Spaulding families!
The Memorial-Spaulding library is a great place to volunteer your time, and your help can make a big impact on the quality of the library time your children experience. In the link below you will see the dates that are available for you to volunteer during your child’s weekly library time. The volunteer helps with checking in and out library books and re-shelving, which will allow Ms. Lundquist to spend the time teaching, helping the students choose books, and answer questions. If you are only able to volunteer once or twice, that is fine, but ideally you will be able to commit to approximately once per month to allow for continuity.
For those who haven’t volunteered before, we will have a library volunteer orientation in the library on 10/16/17 after drop off (8:30 am). If you are unable to attend the meeting, you can contact Ms. Lundquist directly (Rachael_Lundquist@newton.k12.ma.us) to find a time to review the role before your first volunteer slot.
Also, please make sure you have a CORI that is up to date with Francie Sheehan. CORIs are good for three years.
Thank you in advance for volunteering your valuable time. Please feel free to reach out to me with any questions!
Harley Simeone (your library liaison)
