The Newton Safe Routes to School Task Force is inviting NPS students to participate in statewide a lawn sign design contest on “anti-idiling” . This year the Newton SRTS is undertaking a campaign to reduce idling at school for student health. More information on why idling is so bad in school zones is here: https://sustainableamerica.org/blog/video-how-idling-at-school-affects-kids-health/ Details on the contest can be found on the attached flyer. All NPS students in 2nd grade to 8th grade qualify. Please direct questions to Alicia Bowman at NNHSsaferoutes@gmail.com .
